About The Position

Leidos is seeking talented CNC Machinists to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes. This role will work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance. Requirements

High School diploma/GED
Less than 1 year of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
Ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.
Ability to work overtime when required.
Regular attendance is required.
Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium.
5-axis and/or mill-turn experience.
5 axis machining experience with Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls.
Two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool.
Experience machining in a prototype environment.

Responsibilities

The CNC Machinist must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts.
Work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.
