About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Manual Machinist to join a growing machine shop serving a variety of industrial sectors. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining manual lathes and milling machines while producing high-quality precision components from engineering drawings and blueprints. Candidates with CNC programming knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Previous experience operating manual lathes and milling machines in a machine shop environment.
CNC programming knowledge is required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Basic computer proficiency.
Solid math skills.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ProtoTrak controls is a plus but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Operate manual lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision components.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and samples.
Take accurate measurements to ensure parts meet specifications.
Select appropriate tooling, machine settings, and machining methods for each job.
Plan the sequence of operations to maximize efficiency and quality.
Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to feeds, speeds, and machine settings.
Inspect finished parts to verify quality and dimensional accuracy.
Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Assist with additional shop duties and support team production goals.
