About The Position

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for verifying quality documents, completing dimensional reports and machine logs, operating a forklift and lifting devices, and communicating with various personnel regarding job status. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, including wearing necessary PPE and maintaining a clean work area. Basic preventative maintenance on equipment is also expected. The position involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and requires adaptability to changing demands and a team-oriented approach.

Requirements

  • Basic Computer knowledge
  • Working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and insert used on various machines
  • Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions
  • Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not be limited to calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and tape measures
  • Advanced knowledge of understanding programmed segments and corresponding operations

Responsibilities

  • Verifies proper quality documents and other paperwork is present prior to start of work
  • Completes Dimensional reports and machine logs for all items machined
  • Operates a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts
  • Communicates with supervisor, planners, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel as it relates to the job
  • Wears necessary PPE at all times as per JHA and task requirement
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
