About The Position

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. This specific role is for the development of future CNC Machinists. Upon completion of the two-year Machine Tool Technology degree, incumbents in this role will be promoted to a CNC Machinist C role on an open shift. Gain experience in a safe production environment running CNC related equipment while completing a two-year degree in a Machine Tool Technology program.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current or imminent enrollment in a two year Machine Tool Technology program.
  • Employee must maintain good standing with the school while enrolled and maintain a C average or better.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and unrestricted basis.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, TN, E-3, O-1, L-1, or employment-based permanent residence sponsorship).
  • Candidates working under temporary employment authorization, including F-1 OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, or similar programs, are not eligible for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Have to be willing to accept an off-shift or weekend position upon completion of Machine Tool Technology degree.
  • Within six months of start date, individuals must demonstrate: The ability to safely run and maintain operation of assigned CNC machining equipment consisting of mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • The ability to work from detailed instructions with limited supervision.
  • The ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments.
  • Must understand safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, runs and/or acts which may cause injury to self, others or the work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely run and maintain production on a variety of machining equipment.
  • Remove excess material to ensure trouble free and safe operation of machine parts to use in fluid handling products.
  • Consistently meet Graco’s expectations in a timely manner for accuracy of work while minimizing waste by maintaining high quality for the product, equipment and facility.
  • Using blueprints and/or work instructions, process parts to specific Graco standards and tolerances.
  • Constantly monitor the production process and report any possible product enhancements or safety issues.
  • Meet or exceed departmental goals of efficiency and productivity through collaborative employee involvement.
  • Maintain the safest possible work environment for self and others.
  • Use all applicable software to input information relative to quality and quantity of parts produced.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
