About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of build and final assembly of progressive dies and fixtures. This role involves all aspects of tool & die manufacturing with little to no supervision. The die maker must be able to operate all tool room equipment, including CNC machines, and work within close tolerances of +/-.0002. This position may also require supervising subordinate level machinists and identifying opportunities for product improvement or cost reduction.

Requirements

• High School Math and English equivalent
• 3 or more years in a Machining or similar environment
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Use of measuring devices: Micrometers, Vernier’s
• Dedicated and attention to detail
• Time management

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot most tooling issues or problems.
• Work in close tolerances +/-.0002.
• May be required to supervise subordinate level machinist.
• Identifies opportunities to improve products or reduce costs.
