About The Position

Sim Surgical is seeking CNC Machinists for their Mills and Lathes Departments. This is an opportunity to work in a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art, climate-controlled machining center, a significant improvement from hot, dark, or dirty shops with outdated machines. The company offers multiple shift options: 1st shift (Monday-Thursday, 5 am-3:30 pm), 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday, 3:15 pm-1:45 am), and a Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday, 6 am-6:30 pm). The weekend shift offers a unique incentive of earning 40 hours' pay for 36 hours worked, with overtime pay starting after 36 hours. Shift differentials are provided for the 2nd and weekend shifts, and a 4-hour bonus is offered for the weekend shift.

Requirements

Possess strong math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers including decimals and fractions.
Simple reference use of formulas, charts, shop prints, specifications and computer scanning devices.
Ability to communicate effectively with other employees.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years’ experience with Set-up and operation of CNC Machines, but will train.
Experience with Haas, Okuma, or Tsugami Swiss machines would be beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Operate various machines, including CNC Swiss Lathes and Mills to finish parts or prepare for next operation.
Work from blueprints, part prints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
Use precision tools and instruments.
Capable of working to tight tolerances.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition; follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
