CNC Machinist/Programmer II (Weekend Day Shift)

About The Position

Blue Origin is seeking a machinist to program complex multi-axis-machined parts in Siemens NX Cam and machine those parts for engine thrusters. This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which supports manufacturing and supply chain across Blue Origin facilities. The position calls for technical expertise, leadership, a commitment to quality, and a contribution to safe human spaceflight.

Requirements

At least 3 years of related CNC experience.
At least 2 years of experience with multi-axis machines.
At least 2 years of experience with CNC programming.
CNC programming skills, preferably using NX 10 through 2306.
Experience with one or more of the following CNC machines: Mazak, Haas, DMG Mori, Mori Seiki, Hermle, G+F, or Okuma.
Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, OSP, or other CNC controls.
Excellent blueprint-reading skills, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994.
Familiarity with personal computers.
Ability to provide Design for Manufacturing feedback.
Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small or restricted areas, and lift and carry 25 pounds.
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

Tooling and fixture design experience.
Multi-axis turning experience.
Mill-turn experience.
Outside processing knowledge, including heat treatment, brazing, EB/laser welding, EDM, or grinding.
CMM programming or operation experience.
Conversational programming on the machine.
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts.
