About The Position

You will be responsible to produce a quality part by setting up and running parts, then being able to inspect your work and if needed make adjustments. You will operate a CNC Milling Machine and perform precision work on parts with close tolerance between interrelated surfaces. You will follow Ops sheets and written or verbal instructions for product specifications, and operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation. You will observe overall operation and perform regular daily maintenance on equipment and work area. You will verify and visually inspect your work and dimensions per operations sheet to specification, and fill out production paperwork and inspection procedures as required. You will maintain specifications by troubleshooting processes, adjusting controls, replacing worn tools, observing tooling, taking measurements, and detecting malfunction. You will also maintain a clean organized work area.

Requirements

  • A high School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3+ yrs Experience operating a CNC Milling Machine
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of various metals, alloys, and other materials to optimize proper speeds and feeds.
  • Strong Attention to details
  • Basic computer skills
  • The ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators.
  • The ability to do basic set ups on 3, 4, and 5 Axis Machines
  • The ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheets.
  • The ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
  • Skills in using various machine attachments.
  • The ability to follow set up instructions, set up, and operate machine controls.
  • The ability to Troubleshoot machines.
  • Skills in performing precision work on parts with close tolerance between interrelated surfaces.
  • The ability to work overtime, including weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Tech School preferred.
