About The Position

The MP Machinist II is responsible for set-up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role involves receiving and verifying raw materials, operating CNC mills and lathes, performing routine maintenance, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The position requires the ability to read blueprints, use various measurement tools, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Ability to work with basic hand tools, squaring and straight edge tools.
Ability to safely load and unload machines with various materials.
Ability to prioritize and problem solve.
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawings.
Basic to intermediate SAP system experience.
Basic Lean Manufacturing understanding.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to perform duties using imperial and metric measurements.
Able to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to work in high-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of set-up functions.
Ability to be detailed oriented.
Safety awareness.
High School diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of experience in similar environment/position.

Nice To Haves

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for long periods of time.
Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Physically and systematically receive and verify raw material receipts.
Safely load and unload material both manually and utilizing a forklift.
Communicate material location changes with inventory team.
Deburr parts and help ensure quality standards are met.
Follow the work schedule as assigned and ability to layout the correct priorities for the work scheduled.
Ensure all parts produced is confirmed in SAP, tagged and staged in proper locations.
Perform cycle counting as required.
Install machine programs and modifications as required.
Operate CNC Mills (Haas TM, Haas VF, Doosan DNM5700) or CNC Lathes (Haas SL30, Haas ST40, Doosan Lynx 2600) or plastic routers.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery.
Perform Quality at the Source checks on made parts.
Accurately record actual labor estimates on all production orders.
Keep work area(s) clean and organized to 5S standards.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
