About The Position

Delva Tool & Machine (DTM) is a precision machining, fabrication, and assembly company with 6 locations and over 175 years of combined experience. We operate 250 CNC machines and employ 350 individuals across the United States and Canada. Our commitment is to deliver quality machined parts to customers globally, focusing on quality products, on-time delivery, and competitive pricing. We are seeking an experienced Machinist III who can independently set up, troubleshoot, optimize, and operate complex CNC equipment. This role also involves serving as a technical resource and mentor to other machinists, working with advanced manufacturing technology and challenging precision parts within a team committed to excellence. The position operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm in a 100% climate-controlled work area. The hiring range is $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus offered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead setups and operation of complex CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis machining centers, and specialized equipment.
  • Adjust tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds to optimize production efficiency and part quality.
  • Validate programs through first-run and first-article inspections.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Programming, Quality, and Production teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of materials, tooling, cutting strategies, and machining best practices.
  • Mentor and support Machinist I and Machinist II team members.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
  • Support AS9100 quality standards and assist with audits as needed.
  • Serve as a lead machinist when required, helping coordinate workflow and production priorities.
