The CNC Machinist III is responsible for the set up and operation of computer numerical control (CNC) machines, including Lathe, Mill, and Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL). This role involves producing precision metal parts and materials, determining dimensions and tolerances by studying specifications like blueprints and sketches, following instructions in routers and technical planning documents, and adhering to established specifications. The machinist will execute complex to potentially difficult machining assignments using various machine tools and utilize precision measuring tools to verify the accuracy of their work.
