About The Position

Kurt Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist II to join our team at within our Products Division in Coon Rapids Minnesota. The CNC Machinist II is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools. This role involves performing a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive workpieces, ensuring close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Due to ITAR and U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
3 years of related experience
Ability to perform metric conversions
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings
Currently authorized to work in the United States.
U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
4 or more years of related experience

Responsibilities

Setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools.
Performing a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive workpieces, ensuring close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.
Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine set up instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings.
Check parts for conformance to specifications.
Operators may be required to run more than one unit simultaneously
