Operates machines with computer controls that use single or multiple spindle lathe type screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to machine metal bar stock and completes tool changes. This role requires understanding tool geometry and CNC program layouts, measuring finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, and performing routine maintenance such as tool changes and listening to machines to detect issues. The position also involves assisting onboarding team members, reading blueprints, performing record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and adhering to safety regulations. Additionally, the role requires utilizing precision measuring instruments, performing Statistical Process Control (SPC), and adhering to 5S department procedures. Employees are responsible for complying with all Federal, Local, and State government regulations, as well as company HSE procedures and policies. The role also involves recognizing and preventing cosmetic non-conformances and suggesting waste elimination initiatives.
