About The Position

Inside (CNC) Machinists operate various machines (manual and/or CNC) such as; lathes, mills, vertical machining centers, horizontal boring mills, etc. Inside machinists troubleshoot operations and take appropriate actions to correct. The machinists perform quality inspections, verifying dimensions of work piece are in accordance with drawing specifications. This job listing is at an off-site location: Oyster Point Industrial Park, Newport News, VA.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Prior CNC Machinist Experience with 3 (three) or more years.
US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

Prior Mechanical experience such as Automotive Repair, Plant Maintenance, Machinery Installation/Repair is a plus.
Successful completion of a technical/vocational program in Machining, Diesel Technology, Automotive, HVAC, Mechanical.

Responsibilities

Operate various machines (manual and/or CNC) such as; lathes, mills, vertical machining centers, horizontal boring mills, etc.
Troubleshoot operations and take appropriate actions to correct.
Perform quality inspections, verifying dimensions of work piece are in accordance with drawing specifications.
Climb ladders and work at extreme heights.
Work in small, tight, or confined spaces.
Kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb on a daily basis.
Lift heavy objects weighing 40 lbs. or more.
Work while repeatedly reaching overhead.
Work indoors or outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
Work in areas with radiation.
Work assigned shift as production needs.
Take and pass a Physical Agility Test.
