About The Position

EPTAM Precision Plastics is looking for a CNC Machinist C (Lathe) - 1st Shift to join their team in Northfield, NH. This role involves creating devices used in various medical industry sectors such as biopharma, molecular diagnostics, robot-assisted surgeries, and implantable devices. EPTAM Precision Plastics, founded in 1981, is a leader in complex plastic component manufacturing and CNC machining. As the largest North American manufacturer of machined plastic products and assemblies, the company employs over 285 engineers, production specialists, and quality control experts. Their FDA-registered, ISO 13485 facility is equipped with advanced automated inspection and multiple coordinate-measuring machines (CMM). Requirements

  • 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment, operating manual and/or CNC equipment, equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position.
  • Internships and PT experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Use of some judgment to follow instructions with little or no choice to the procedures.
  • Make suggestions with regard to tooling, fixtures, etc. to increase efficiency and provide ideas to improve operations.
  • Load/feed machine as required to produce finished product.
  • Keep count of parts and maintain records.
  • Perform in-process inspection for dimensions of produced parts and maintain documentation as required.
  • Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.
  • Work on various types of equipment as assigned.
  • Proper handling of all material, parts and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
  • Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instruction. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for identifying quality problems in materials.
  • Properly utilize evacuation system to minimize exposure to hazards.
  • Provide accurate and complete turnover from shift to shift.
  • Good housekeeping and safe working habits.
