About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and coordinating Team Members’ activities to achieve business goals through focusing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture. The position is responsible for overseeing the performance of all CNC Machining Department functions.

Requirements

Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of eight (8) years of CNC machining experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory, lead, or team leadership role.
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, production operations, and workplace safety practices.
Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
Five (5) or more years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Visual Management tools.
Proficiency in manufacturing performance metrics, reporting, and workforce planning.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and employee development skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Collaborative approach to resolving issues impacting various groups across the enterprise.
Ability to understand processes (system and non-system), troubleshoot, develop, and recommend solutions.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct daily CNC machining operations, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet production goals, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Supervise, coach, and develop team members to promote engagement, accountability, skill development, and career growth.
Manage individual and team performance, attendance, productivity, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Foster a flexible, collaborative, and results-driven work environment that supports teamwork and operational excellence.
Facilitate daily team meetings to communicate priorities, review performance metrics, and encourage employee participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
Establish and maintain training programs to onboard new team members and support ongoing development and cross-training opportunities.
Monitor departmental performance and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track key operational metrics.
Develop and maintain visual management tools and performance boards to drive accountability and communication.
Ensure all departmental activities are performed in accordance with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Champion workplace safety by maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment and supporting all Health & Safety objectives.
Identify and implement process improvements using Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to address quality, performance, and cost improvement opportunities.
Demonstrate active listening and effective communication to address employee concerns and support a positive workplace culture.
