About The Position

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work. MD&A's Repairs Division is seeking a highly skilled machine shop supervisor with CNC programming experience to oversee daily shop operations for our 2nd shift. This position offers a competitive salary based on experience and skill level. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, in-depth machining knowledge, and proficiency in CNC programming to ensure efficient operations and high-quality production.

Requirements

Ability to work 2nd shift from 2pm-10:30pm
Experience with 3 & 4 axis Mills, 4 axis Horizontal Mills, VTL’s, and Lathes ( Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak)
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Inventor/Mastercam) and CNC programming
Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and fixture design
Ability to lead a team, manage workflows, and optimize shop operations
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented mindset with focus on quality control

Responsibilities

Oversee daily machine shop operations and ensure workflow efficiency
Assign and supervise work, maintaining high production and quality standards
Ensure CNC machines and tools are properly maintained and operational
Monitor and evaluate production records to improve performance
Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies
Develop work-holding strategies and design fixtures for complex geometries
Assist the shop floor in meeting quality requirements and troubleshooting machining issues
Maintain continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
