About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to manufacture precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards. This position supports production operations by ensuring efficient machining processes, maintaining product quality, and contributing to a safe and productive manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Basic understanding of CNC machine programming and machining processes
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and quality control procedures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certification in CNC machining or manufacturing technology preferred
  • Experience in aerospace, durable goods, or precision manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience working with tight-tolerance machining and quality inspection processes preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines to manufacture parts and components according to blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications
  • Load raw materials and tooling into CNC equipment and verify machine setup prior to operation
  • Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection equipment
  • Identify and report machine malfunctions, tooling issues, or quality concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting to support equipment reliability
  • Maintain accurate production, inspection, and downtime records
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support process improvements and resolve manufacturing issues
  • Follow all company quality standards, safety procedures, and work instructions
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
