About The Position

Hypertherm Associates is seeking motivated individuals for our upcoming CNC Fundamentals Course, beginning October 19th, 2026. This US Department of Labor approved Apprenticeship Program, offered through Hypertherm Associates' Technical Training Institute (HTTI), will provide comprehensive training in CNC Machine Operation. The initial 4-week course is conducted on the 1st shift (7 am to 3:30 pm). Upon completion, successful candidates will transition to the 2nd shift as CNC Machine Operators. In this role, you will work collaboratively with team members to produce machined parts for our plasma cutting systems. This involves machining, assembly, and packaging tasks within an assigned manufacturing area, adhering to standard work instructions. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impacts, enhancing quality, reducing costs, and increasing shared profits within our 100% Associate-owned company.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Comfort and interest in working with technology, including experience and familiarity using MS Office (Outlook/Excel) and Windows Operating Systems
• A positive attitude
• Ability and willingness to learn technical material in a school-like setting
• Excitement about working with a team and within our collaborative ownership culture
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow and process instructions
• Basic math understanding
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Produce machined parts for plasma cutting systems through machining, assembly, and packaging tasks in an assigned manufacturing area, using standard work instructions.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to reduce environmental impacts, enhance quality, reduce cost, and increase shared profits.
