Multiple Positions are available on the afternoon (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) and midnight (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) shifts. The purpose of this position is to learn CNC machining processes, procedures, and production skills to ensure the accuracy and consistency of products are achieved to meet customer needs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED with two years of experience in manufacturing machining, preferably CNC machining.

Responsibilities

Ensures safety is the number one priority for themselves and others by following plant safety standards.
Performs daily production and production related tasks with a high emphasis on quality.
Monitors and adjusts CNC machinery as required; conducts quality checks as outlined in process control plans and work instructions.
Become familiar with specifications, document control processes and/or work instructions to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence or operations and setup requirements, and verifies conformance of finished work piece.
Setup, start, observe, and operate conventional, special purpose and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers in accordance with the work instructions and all other standard work documentation, adjusting controls and control media as required.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input or edict computerized machine control media.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on CNC machines.
Records physical production, inventory changes, and completes all process control and quality documentation as required.
Performs routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs of process problems and breakdowns.
Recommends, supports and helps implement plant continuous improvement projects and problem-solving efforts; develops an understanding of the plant's vision to meet business plan objectives.
Load, unload, and inspect product.
Conduct assigned housekeeping and quality tasks.
Participates in plant teams.
Works with a safety-first mentality.
Is flexible to work any shift assignment and overtime as needed. May at times be required to run multiple machines as necessary.
