About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a CNC Machine Operator (Lathe) - 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD! The core hours are 7 am - 3 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $27.50 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from accredited institution
Minimum of 1 year of machinist/CNC experience OR completion of a machinist/CNC degree/certification from an accredited institution.
Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
Must be able to use the computer.
Ability to read and comprehend specifications, engineering drawings and manufacturing routings
Position requires exposure to oil, dirt, and heat
Must wear safety glasses, ear plugs and steel toed shoes for entire shift
Ability to stand, sit, move 8-12 hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
Minimum of 2 years of CNC experience

Responsibilities

Perform set-ups and tool changes for multiple machines with different controls in order to execute a sequence of operations such as turn, drill, and bore a variety of metal components.
Modify, edit, download, and upload programs in order to make multiple parts.
Perform offset adjustments and utilize proper tooling, such as inserts and cutters, based on print specifications.
Interpret technical drawings in accordance with standard shop practices.
Train and mentor other operators.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
