The CNC Machine Operator II is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC type or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is located in Cortland, NY and is an on-site role. We are currently seeking CNC Machine Operators for both 2nd and 3rd Shift. 2nd Shift is Monday - Friday, 2:30PM – 10:30PM. 3rd Shift is Sunday - Thursday, 10:30PM – 6:30AM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or Equivalent
  • 18 months + of related CNC Machine Operator experience.
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum, 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate all equipment in a related area to produce complicated components, subassemblies, and final assemblies from blueprints and work instructions, upload new programs or alterations and supply set-up sheets, deburr parts, sharpen tool and set-up tooling.
  • Work under the direction of supervisors, or more experienced personnel, with little supervision.
  • Maintain accurate records, and logs and collect any necessary data for use by Engineering, troubleshoot potential machine problems and recommend solutions.
