The Working Machining Set up Technician -A is responsible for meeting or exceeding set goals for Machine Utilization and First Pass yield for the scheduled machines they are running. This role involves performing thorough, detail-oriented setups that meet or exceed set goals and reports to the Lead Person. The technician must maintain the productivity and efficiency of their assigned machines, monitor hourly productivity, and make adjustments as needed. They are also responsible for completing 6s activities, inputting data into the Amper Utilization tracking system, maintaining good housekeeping and safety standards, and adhering to all company policies. A positive contribution to the team is expected to help reach scheduled goals. Production responsibilities include performing quality checks, completing documentation, providing accurate hourly data, and completing setups for scheduled machines, including those on 4 & above Axis machines. Quality responsibilities involve performing scheduled quality checks, maintaining data entry for parts, performing capability studies after setup, and assisting in resolving quality issues. Continuous improvement involves looking for ways to make improvements, cross-training in new areas, recommending process improvements for cost reductions and production enhancements, and participating in setup reduction activities.
