About The Position

This position requires a candidate to produce machined parts per print by setting up and operating a CNC Lathe machine, maintaining quality, safety standards, and record keeping. This position requires strong CNC experience involving setting up and operating lathes. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of Lathe setup experience.
  • Work with minimal supervision to resolve issues.
  • Must be able to setup from program notes & shop traveler.
  • Must be able to read & interpret prints, including GD&T.
  • Firm understanding of CNC programming, including G/M codes & editing.
  • Inspect own parts with attention to detail.
  • Proficient with inspection tools & methods.
  • Communicate effectively within the team, different shifts, & management.
  • High School diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Accredited Trade School and or Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Produce operator friendly, quality set-ups which meet print requirements.
  • Work efficiently and diligently to complete set-ups within allotted time.
  • Review and recommend any changes to production tooling.
  • Assist others in resolving issues / problems when needed.
  • Report any manufacturing equipment deficiencies/problems to the Manager.
  • Support and assist machine operators in maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and clean work environment.
