About The Position

Standing Order Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a highly skilled CNC Multi-Axis Lathe Operator for our client in Vancouver, WA, a long-standing leader in manufacturing of high-quality healthcare equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting DMG Mori CNC multi-axis lathes to produce precision metal components according to detailed specifications, requiring strong blueprint interpretation skills and a commitment to quality. The role will train on day shift for the first 1-2 months, then transition to the permanent schedule of swing shift.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of CNC Multi-Axis Lathe experience required
Strong ability to read blueprints and understand machining specifications
Ability to interpret G-Codes and troubleshoot machine independently as needed
Experience with setup, tooling selection, and offsets
Proficiency using precision measuring instruments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Machining Technology Certificate
DMG Mori experience preferred

Responsibilities

Set up and operate DMG Mori 5-Axis Lathes, including some milling operations
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
Select and load correct programs, install appropriate tooling holders
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues and make necessary adjustments
Maintain accurate production and inspection records in ERP system and manually
Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area
Assist with training and supporting less experienced operators as needed
Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and quality teams on process improvements
