Requirements
- Basic math and computing knowledge
- Ability to meet production requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other basic measuring equipment
- Experience working in a machine shop environment.
Nice To Haves
- Monitoring and operating CNC (computer numerically controlled) lathe machines to cut metal and plastic parts for the manufacturing industry.
- Monitoring tool life, adjusting tool offsets, periodic inspection of part & documentation of results while maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Loading / un-loading of CNC machine.
- Inspect produced parts & adjust offsets to meet print requirements
- Document inspection results while running job.
- Strive to meet or exceed set cycle times.
- Run multiple machines whenever possible.
- Accurately log in & out of jobs, including correct quantities.
- Support basic machine maintenance requirements.
- Report problems/concerns immediately to supervisor/management.
- Communicate effectively within the team & pass down information to different shifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for their area.
