About The Position

As a CNC Lathe Set Up, Production Operator at Regal Rexnord Cleveland, your focus will be to set up and operate CNC Lathe machinery, upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines. You will inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defects in material, including deburring if necessary. The role involves interpreting drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts, and shop orders to plan and check work. You will obtain the proper set of tools from the tool crib, select holders, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy. Additionally, you will interpret drawings, route sheets, diagrams, specifications, and instructions to determine proper operation sequences, and make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments. Moving completed material to the next workstation and maintaining a clean and safe work environment are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers.
• Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
• Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.
