As a CNC Lathe Operator I, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathe machines to support the production of products within the aerospace industry. This includes tasks such as loading raw materials into the machines, basic machine setup, adjusting tooling and machine parameters, interpreting work instructions and shop drawings, and maintaining a high level of organization. Operators are expected to work safely while contributing to departmental goals through quality work and open communication.
Requirements
- High school diploma, trade school graduates, and/or those with 1+ years of CNC lathe machine operation
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- Dependability and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn, grow, and be part of a great team
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience (preferred but not required – we will train the right people!)
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CNC Lathe production machines with precision and care
- Perform quality checks to ensure output of high-quality parts
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
- Work independently and within a team environment to meet and exceed production goals
- Collaborate with department leads, supervisors, and/or management to troubleshoot and report equipment issues promptly.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
