About The Position
Join A to Z Machine, an employee-owned company, as a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist. We are seeking individuals with experience in programming, setting up, and operating Doosan CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. This role is in a non-production setting, focusing on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines. You will collaborate with the team on efficient machining methods, ensure part quality based on blueprints, and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Requirements
- 3+ years of CNC lathe experience in a job shop environment
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Self-sufficiency with a strong desire to grow and improve
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience with multi-axis machining or live tooling
- Thrive in a high-mix, low-volume environment
- Enjoy mentoring others or learning new CAD/CAM and fixturing processes
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate Doosan CNC lathes (12-32" chucks) with Fanuc controls
- Work on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines in a non-production setting
- Collaborate with the team to choose the most efficient machining methods
- Ensure accuracy and part quality based on blueprints and specs
- Follow 6S and safety protocols to maintain a top-tier work environment
- Embrace continuous improvement and innovation in tools, CAD/CAM, and setups
