About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Class A Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge, the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications, and a commitment to producing high-quality, precision components.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Class A, Senior, or highly experienced Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong CNC machining and setup experience.
  • Ability to independently set up and operate machining equipment.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and tooling selection.
  • Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and dimensional tolerances.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CNC lathes and mills.
  • Multi-axis machining experience.
  • CNC programming experience.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software.
  • Precision machining of complex components.
  • Experience working within a controlled Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Experience manufacturing parts to stringent customer, nuclear, government, or other highly regulated requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment to manufacture precision components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, tolerances, and work instructions.
  • Perform machine setups, including selection and installation of appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
  • Verify programs, tooling, offsets, and setup requirements prior to machining.
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet drawing and customer requirements.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Maintain close tolerances and consistently produce parts that meet quality requirements.
  • Identify machining and quality issues and communicate concerns to supervision and Quality Assurance.
  • Complete required job travelers, inspection documentation, and production records accurately.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Follow company quality procedures, safety requirements, and applicable customer requirements.
  • Assist and provide guidance to less-experienced machinists when needed.
