About The Position

Calmax Technology, Inc. is seeking CNC Lathe Machinists to join our 1st and 2nd shifts in Santa Clara, CA. Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in machine tool operation or 6 months machining training, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
• Must interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
• Experience in a precision machine shop environment.
• Experience on CNC Mill equipment performing set-up and program prove-outs.
• Training in basic shop and measurement math, including linear measurement, metrics, algebra and geometry.
• Familiarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work orders, drawings, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters to run parts according to customer blueprints and instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret CNC programs to maintain close tolerances (within +/- .0001).
• Sets up lathe production equipment for junior CNC Lathe Machinists and conducts tests, analyses, and calibrates components.
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
• Enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established company policy, safety procedures, and vendor standards.
• Installs, maintains, repairs, rebuilds, and operates a variety of lathe machining tools.
