CNC Laser Operator - Weekend Shift

About The Position

H3 Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to prepare and operate Trumpf laser cutting machine(s) to support production teams in accordance with company specifications. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a weekend shift schedule. The company is a leading integrated manufacturing solutions provider with state-of-the-art facilities serving high-spec markets.

Requirements

Strong mechanical knowledge and manufacturing experience
Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings
Proficiency in laser cutting and programming
Familiarity with GD&T and precision measuring instruments, including bore gauges and micrometers
Basic math skills and ability to read blueprints
Experience with hand tools, fabrication, and quality inspection
Knowledge of machining processes, including CNC and press brake operation
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, and grasp.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery and measuring equipment.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Perform set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections.
Adjust and prepare punch/laser combinations of jobs.
Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
Be comfortable using measuring tools to complete tasks (micrometers, height gages and bore gages).
Set-up, adjust and prepare punch/laser combinations of jobs.
Ensure material is loaded into the laser, and the machine control is set-up to run to schedule.
Deburr parts with file or grinder as needed.
