About The Position

This position is responsible for preparing raw steel and finished product to the correct length and shape according to customer requirements using an Oxyfuel Cutting Table and Sigmanest Program. Candidate will be assigned to operate and set up conventional or numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts, applying knowledge of shop math, machinability of materials and drawings.

Requirements

Ability to apply knowledge of shop math, machinability of materials and drawings
Must have the ability to read blueprints and use general measuring equipment to produce quality product to specifications
Must be able to learn and operate other prep equipment
Must be able to finish product with grinders, sanders, and hand tools

Nice To Haves

Experience with Oxyfuel Cutting Table and Sigmanest Program
Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts

Responsibilities

Setup, program-edit and run cutting tables
Learn and operate other prep equipment
Finish product with grinders, sanders, and hand tools
Perform daily preventive maintenance to assigned equipment
Read blueprints and use general measuring equipment to produce quality product to specifications
Safely move material using overhead cranes and forklifts
Clean and maintain the work area
Communicate effectively with coworkers and management
Assist in other manufacturing areas when needed
Attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Download programs via disc, flash drive or direct connect
Perform cuts and required nesting as defined by production
Accurate completion of production and Quality Control sheets
Accurate completion of work order based on production schedule
Read operator’s book and make appropriate parts correctly
