About The Position

The CNC Burn Table Operator operates cutting equipment to cut and prepare steel parts. The role involves setting up and monitoring CNC burn table cutting jobs, making basic machine adjustments, checking cut parts against drawings and specifications, safely handling steel, and completing basic equipment cleaning and maintenance. The position is on second shift, Monday through Thursday, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with overtime opportunities. The shop is not climate-controlled. Pay is $22–$36 per hour based on experience, plus a 10% shift differential.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of CNC, burn table, machine operation, or fabrication experience is preferred.
• Able to read basic blueprints and measurements.
• Able to make basic machine adjustments.
• OSHA 10 certification or willingness to complete training.
• Comfortable working in a shop that is not climate-controlled.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with plasma or oxy-fuel cutting.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience.
• General machine operation, fabrication, or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the CNC burn table.
• Set up cutting jobs and make basic machine adjustments.
• Cut steel according to drawings and specifications.
• Check cut parts for quality and accuracy.
• Load and unload steel safely.
• Remove slag and clean finished parts.
• Perform basic machine cleaning and maintenance.
