About The Position

The Guardmaker & Sheetmetal Fabricator will work within the machine shop and will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment including a CNC Amada laser, press brake, welding tools, and other fabrication equipment as part of a cross-functional team that fabricates parts for the companies OEM equipment. We have multiple shift opportunities: 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday 3:30PM - 2:00AM 2nd Shift: Monday through Wednesday 3:30PM - 3:30AM

Requirements

• A technical degree/certificate in welding, metal fabrication, or a related field preferred, or 1-2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to work safely.
• Ability to learn basic blueprint reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for various types of welding such as Mig and Tig.
• Ability to work with various types of metals such as mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Ability to operate an Amada break press.
• Ability to operate an Amada laser.
• Ability to read and interrupt blueprints.
• Communicate with team members and leaders to provide work updates.
• Maintain safety by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
