We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Bending Machine Operator to join our Sheet Metal Fabrication team. In this role, you will set up and operate advanced CNC bending equipment—including TRUMPF machines—to produce precision sheet metal components. You'll participate in production development, perform quality inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating CNC bending equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and specifications
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work safely with precision equipment and heavy materials

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TRUMPF bending machines (TruBend series or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (5S, TPM, SYNCHRO)
  • CNC programming knowledge or willingness to develop it
  • Forklift or overhead crane certification

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC bending machines with accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop and refine programming, fixtures, and production methods during initial production runs
  • Troubleshoot and assist in resolving operating and programming issues to ensure optimal machine performance
  • Inspect and verify sheet metal parts against blueprints and specifications
  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, protractors, tape measures) to ensure parts meet quality standards
  • Maintain high-quality output by performing in-process and final inspections before passing parts to subsequent work centers
  • Participate actively in daily shop floor management meetings
  • Contribute as an engaged member of SYNCHRO Plus initiatives (SFM, TK, IK)
  • Support departmental continuous improvement events and projects
  • Share feedback and ideas to optimize CNC operations
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 70 lbs regularly
