About The Position

As a Care Partner, the CNA provides personal care to elders, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, potentially using walkers and wheelchairs. The role includes monitoring and documenting residents’ health or behavior and reporting changes to the Wellness Team; offering emotional support and companionship; helping with meals, including feeding when needed; supporting social and recreational activities; communicating with elders, families, team members, and guests; and performing light housekeeping to maintain general cleanliness.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Provide licensing documentation if required by the state.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist elders with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, including use of walkers and wheelchairs as needed.
• Observe and document changes in elders’ health or behavior and report them to the Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support, companionship, conversation, and active listening.
• Assist elders with meals and feed those who need additional support.
• Support elders in social and recreational activities.
• Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• Perform light housekeeping, including tidying and maintaining general cleanliness.
