As a CNA, you will perform fundamental nursing tasks and procedures under the direction of the LPN and/or RN staff here at Westminster Village. Primarily focusing on performing personal care and restorative procedures as well as total performance of personal care/activities of daily living for a resident to assisting residents to gain more independence. We offer a competitive wage with an annual increase. The wage scale for this position is $22.51 to $24.51 an hour. Requirements
- CNA Certified in the State of Illinois.
- Working knowledge of patient care delivery in the Geriatric/Skilled Nursing Setting.
- Ability to comply with HIPPA guidelines and regulations.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, understanding, and tact in interactions with residents, families and staff.
- Ability to demonstrate calm professional manner in the event of emergency.
Responsibilities
- Accurately records information and reports to nurse any variance in residents' condition
- Performs personal bedside care of the resident
- Assists with the care and environment of residents' room
- Assists with mealtime and feeding
- Monitoring vitals and patient behavior and reporting them to the nursing team
- Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed
- Assists with protective/safety measures
- Promotes restorative/rehabilitation in all patients
- Promotes quality of life
