About The Position

The Caregiver at Heritage Greens is responsible for delivering quality care by encouraging independence and supporting each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. This is a part-time, first-shift position scheduled for every other weekend, with a stated shift of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Compensation is $17.50–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience. The role includes assisting residents with requests and daily activities, providing companionship, responding to emergencies, documenting care, and contributing to current individual service plans. Applicants must have a North Carolina CNA license or an 80-hour PCA certificate. All offers are subject to completing the pre-employment process, including a drug screen, TB test, and background check.

Requirements

North Carolina CNA license or 80-hour PCA certificate required.
Nursing assistant course completion.
Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications.
First Aid certification and CPR, if required.
High school education or GED equivalent preferred.
Complete the pre-employment process, including a drug screen, TB test, and background check.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with simple requests as needed.
Supervise or assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities.
Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations.
Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures.
Document care provided to residents consistently.
Provide input to help ensure resident individual service plans are current.
Regularly review the 24-hour report and care checklists.
