This position provides direct patient care in accordance with state-regulated competencies. The CNA provides safe, efficient, and high-quality personal care services to assigned residents under the supervision and guidance of a registered nurse and in accordance with Hospice policies. The role requires adherence to written and oral instructions for patient care, assisting patients with personal care, ambulation, and positioning. Responsibilities also include preparing meals, assisting with feeding, performing necessary housekeeping services for patient health and safety, and providing guidance to family/caregivers regarding patient personal care. The CNA will attend and participate in various team meetings and facility activities, understand and adhere to the Facility’s Mission and policies, and follow guidelines for universal precautions. Additionally, the role involves demonstrating a positive attitude, maintaining records of services performed, answering the telephone and patient call bells promptly, and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information. The CNA is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients, guests, visitors, and employees, and adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulations regarding patient care, conduct, safety, fire, security, and risk management.
