About The Position
South Port Square, a 40-acre campus in Port Charlotte, is seeking a hospitality-driven professional to join their dedicated team. As a CNA, you will assist licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living, contributing to a positive impact on residents' lives within a fulfilling senior living career environment. South Port Square has been meeting the needs of retirees and seniors for over 35 years and is managed by Life Care Services (LCS). Requirements
- Successful completion from a state approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
- Registration with state registry required.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to document care given.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
- Gives treatment, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
- Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
- Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
- Answer signal lights promptly.
- Changes bed linens, makes beds, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
