CNA - Day Center
About The Position
St. Paul’s PACE is a coordinated care program for people age 55 and older living with chronic illness or disabilities who need support to continue living independently at home and in their community. Healthcare teams coordinate medical, social, and home care services. Under the supervision of the Day Center Manager, the CNA provides and assists participants with activities of daily living and restorative and supportive care. The role also assists with organizing and implementing the activity program, monitors participants’ health status, and helps provide a safe environment. This is a full-time Day Center position with typical hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant in the State of California.
- At least one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.
- Training or related experience in the assigned job.
- Current CPR (BLS) and First Aid certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Must clear fingerprint checks through the DOJ and FBI and pass drug-screen clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide and assist participants with activities of daily living.
- Provide restorative and supportive care.
- Assist with organization and implementation of the activity program.
- Monitor participants’ health status.
- Provide a safe environment for participants.
