About The Position

Comfort Keeper is hiring a part-time, in-home CNA in the Little Falls area, with part-time and full-time hours available depending on the employee’s availability. The starting wage is $18 per hour, or $20 per hour for a Certified Nursing Assistant. Employees may become eligible for free CNA classes through Scrubs Academy after five months of employment.

In-home caregivers help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. The role includes assistance with daily living and personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, mobility, medication, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care. Caregivers communicate with the Client Care Coordinator as needed and provide electronic documentation of each shift and care provided.

Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Availability every other weekend and holiday.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and three years of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; must be comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving-record background clearance.
• Customer service excellence and professional boundaries.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification; the posting offers a higher starting wage for certified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Provide hands-on personal care, including help with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning bathrooms and living areas, dusting, mopping, changing linens, vacuuming, laundry, and taking out garbage.
• Plan meals and cook or bake.
• Provide conversation and companionship, including interactive caregiving.
• Assist with mobility, including use of transfer tools or equipment.
• Assist with medication.
• Provide dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with the Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Complete electronic documentation of shifts and care provided.
