About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is looking to expand its Caregiver family. We are hiring kind, compassionate, and dedicated CNAs and GNAs that bring their passion to work. Home Helpers Home Care has been providing exceptional comprehensive home care services for over 20 years. We are looking to staff a caregiver in Silver Spring on Saturdays and Sundays, from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The position pays $22 per hour and requires at least 3 years of caregiving experience, including experience with a Hoyer lift and stand-assist lift. A reliable car is required. Immediate start available!

Requirements

• Will need current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Current CNA license
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to understand care plans and assessments
• Must have current doctor's medical health clearance to work which includes a negative TB Test
• At least 3 years of caregiving experience
• Experience with a Hoyer lift and stand-assist lift

Responsibilities

• Personal Care (bathing, dressing, and transfers)
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Monitor and report physical and behavioral changes
• Assist with medication reminders
• Assist with ambulation
• Monitor BP and glucose levels
• Aiding with activities of daily living
• Assisting with shopping, errands & transportation
• Pick up prescriptions & assist with telehealth visits
• Providing companionship
