About The Position

Provides daily supportive and functional care to residents in a compassionate environment, following established community care procedures and nursing leadership direction. Works collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team focused on residents directing their own care. The role supports residents’ comfort, dignity, independence, participation in decisions and activities, and relationships with their families.

Requirements

Current CNA certification in Missouri or Illinois.
For Pennsylvania: enrollment, or eligibility for enrollment within 120 days of completing the training program, on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry after successfully completing a Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation program or competency evaluation program.
Desire to be part of a person-centered care team.
Ability to communicate with residents.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with direct patient or resident care is preferable.

Responsibilities

Maintain residents’ comfort and provide physical care with activities of daily living within scope of practice; answer call lights and requests and report observations to the nurse.
Address residents’ personal care needs and provide support in a timely manner while preserving dignity and encouraging independence.
Observe residents for changing needs and conditions and report relevant information to the nurse.
Participate in residents’ care and service plans to help improve their lives.
Assist residents during meals and feed those who require full assistance.
Build and maintain meaningful relationships with residents and families, offering compassionate and professional support.
Support residents’ involvement in decisions about daily activities and assist them with activities.
Assist with residents’ therapies and treatments under the direction of licensed staff.
Document care provided in clinical records.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
