About The Position

Executive Home Care is hiring a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors in Omaha, NE. As a CNA, you’ll help older adults remain safe, comfortable, independent, and engaged in the comfort of their own homes. Many of our clients live with dementia and other age-related conditions, making your compassion, patience, and reliability especially important. Requirements

  • Active CNA license
  • 20 years of age or older
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical caregiving duties
  • Ability to follow care plans and work independently while communicating effectively with the care team
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check
  • Smartphone required for use of the WellSky app for timekeeping and care documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Previous caregiving or senior care experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist with safe transfers and mobility
  • Prepare meals and provide assistance with light housekeeping and errands
  • Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan
  • Observe and report changes in a client's condition or behavior
  • Maintain accurate care notes and communicate important updates to the care team
  • Follow individualized care plans while promoting each client's dignity, independence, and safety
