The Long Term Care (LTC) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. This role provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The CNA is expected to have knowledge of and deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per the care plan. As a member of the nursing team, the CNA is accountable for following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.
