About The Position

The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is looking for CNAs to join their team in caring for America’s Heroes. They are a 5-Star, Deficiency Free, Homelike Care Community that provides compassionate and professional long-term, skilled nursing care to veterans and spouses who cannot be cared for in their homes. They do not mandate staff to stay or work more than their scheduled shift and do not cut work schedules due to low census.

Requirements

A valid Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
Familiarity with care plans and HIPAA regulations
Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings

Responsibilities

Follow resident care plans, document noted changes in resident's physical, psychosocial, mental, or emotional conditions according to community policy and procedure
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLS) in a manner conductive to their safety and comfort under the direction of a licensed nurse
Turn, lift, position, and transport residents according to care plan
Deliver meals and assist residents with eating
Answer resident call lights promptly
Ensure residents are clean, neatly dressed, and well-groomed
Follows all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding accurate performance of vital signs, weights, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, using speech, language, or other functional communication system etc.
Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring, compassionate and dignified manner which recognizes the individual’s needs and rights.
