Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Must be 18 years or older (required)
  • Current and active New Jersey CNA certification or enrollment in New Jersey CNA program (required)
  • Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
  • Applicants may be subject to a background check.
  • Employees in this position must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in long-term care setting (preferred, but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with daily living activities, including personal appearance, hygiene, dressing, and general well-being
  • Follow individualized service plans and maintain accurate records to ensure quality support and communication among team members
  • Conduct routine resident check-ins to promote comfort, safety, and engagement throughout the day
  • Assist residents during meals and provide support with movement and the use of mobility aids when needed
  • Foster positive relationships with residents while working closely with colleagues to create a welcoming community environment
  • Share resident preferences and observations with appropriate team members and notify nursing staff of any notable changes or concerns
