Under medical or licensed nursing supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the health care team who assists in the delivery of total patient care. The Certified Nurse Assistant provides nursing care to residents who are physically ill, disabled, geriatric, or assists a physician or nurse with treatments of residents; motivates and assists patients in developing and utilizing their maximum potential for self-care.
